The LEGO 80105 Temple Fair is a dense, vibrant display piece, and the right LED kit can make those red and gold details pop. With only two options in our lineup, the decision comes down to wiring philosophy and budget, from a component-level approach to a premium expansion board system. We break down what each kit illuminates and how their architectures differ in practice.
At the premium $49.99 price point, this kit for the Temple Fair spotlights the central gate and market stalls with a robust pre-soldered modular harness. The expansion board design ensures secure, uncomplicated connections for a permanent display, and while there’s only one standard edition, you’re paying for reliability. If you plan to light this set once and forget it, this is your top-tier choice.
Starting at the lowest $44.99, this kit goes for pure coverage across the same key zones at a more accessible price. It uses modular micro-LED components that suit hobbyists comfortable with finer wiring, and like the higher-end option, there’s only a single standard edition. If you enjoy a hands-on tinkering approach and want to save a fiver, this is the budget route that still looks great.
Lighting kits and display add-ons are custom third-party accessories produced independently. They are not manufactured, sponsored, or endorsed by the LEGO Group.
